The Tribes of Poptropica

On Friday, the Creators posted a teaser for Poptropolis Games’ tribes. Captain Crawfish said that this week, he would post more of the tribal symbols and names. But, you must choose wisely, because your tribal color will fly on your Poptropica Friends profile. Understand? Now, let’s meet them all!

First up, GREEN!

A Very Busy Week

Good Morning, everyone! Sorry I didn’t post last week, but my home’s internet reception was very spotty. Anyway, Poptropica Friends got out of the hospital!

Monday, May 7, 2012

We’re back up!

Just in time for the week to begin, all of the Poptropica Friends features are back up and running! Sorry about that, folks. We’ve got our team of trained monkeys working to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
avatar image DIRECTOR D.
Does Poptropica really have ‘trained monkeys’?
Anyway, Poptropolis Games is aparently right around the corner! That’s why, it was this weeks circle of attention!

Is this burning an eternal flame?

Well, probably not. It’s hard for a flame to burn at the bottom of the ocean. But when the city of Poptropolis re-surfaces every 100 years, the ceremonial torch burns for as long as the competitive fires do!
avatar image CAPTAIN CRAWFISH

I feel scared to even go to Poptropolis Games, let alone watch it. Anyway, this next Poptropica Creators Blog post has more… what’s the word… aahh, friendliness.

These friends of mine

I’ve been having a blast making new friends on Poptropica. I wanted to introduce you to a cool person I’m following

Tiny Crush has an awesome outfit, has never cheated on a test, and has completed 25 Poptropica Islands! (Not Vampire’s Curse, though — what’s up with that?)
It’s great to know Tiny Crush, and I’m looking forward to seeing what else he gets up to in Poptropica. Maybe you can meet Tiny Crush, or even the Poptropica Creators, by visiting the common rooms on Poptropica. No matter who is there, we guarantee you’ll be making some new friends!
avatar image CAPTAIN CRAWFISH

Congrats to Tiny Crush! You made it on a Poptropica Creators Blog post!
*555-6789* *Hi, yes, I’m Magic Onion, and I was wondering if I could schedule a parade for Tiny Crush?* *blah, blah, blah* *WHAT! 4 MILLION CREDITS?!?!?!? Okay, Goodbye!*
Anywho, Black Widow released the Poptropolis Games Members-Only Pack, and, the rest is currently a secret.

New in the Poptropica Store

We have a few new things to share this week in the Poptropica Store. First, Poptropica Members can now get their exclusive Poptropolis Games gear!

These Member-only items include a snazzy Wrestling Singlet costume, a handheld Discus that you can throw around the screen, and the incredible Plant-a-Statue power, which lets you bring a little bit of the Poptropolis Games to any Island in Poptropica.
But that’s not all! There’s also a new costume in the store, available to everyone with Membership or credits.

Now, if somebody calls you a big baby, you can tell them they’re right, and throw a fit to prove it.
Enjoy!

I have the Baby Boy costume, and if you want proof, friend me! (username: olds01)
Finally, for Poptropolis Friends, you have to pick a competitive tribe. That tribe has unique colors as well. But, the tribe you choose will be presented on your Profile!

The tribes of Poptropica

Choosing your tribe in Poptropolis Games is no small decision. You’ll fly your tribe’s colors both in the game, and on your personality profile. Here’s your first look at a few of the tribal logos.

Pretty nice, eh? That’s only half of them. There are still four more to be revealed!
Over the next several week we’ll be bringing you even more information about Poptropolis Games, including all of the tribal names and icons!

Well, goodbye, and wish your mom a Happy Mother’s Day!

An Extremely Busy Week

This has been a very busy week for Poptropica, with the release of Poptropica Friends and the non-Members getting to play Twisted Thicket, I haven’t been able to update!

So, first off, Poptropica Friends is ‘in the hospital’

Saturday, May 5, 2012

Friends overload!

Whoa! We hoped that everyone would like Poptropica Friends, but even we didn’t expect it to be this popular. The demand for all the new Friends features has been so great that it’s overloaded our servers! As a result, we’ve temporarily had to turn off some of the features to address the load.
Be assured, we’re working hard behind the scenes to bring everything back up to speed. We’ll post any updates right here.
Thank you for your enthusiasm!
avatar image DIRECTOR D.
Long story short, the former Director meant “You can’t do anything in Poptropica Friends except add friends and get photos until we fix this issue”.
Like I said, play Poptropica Friends to get photos… and see them in the future!

Everybody’s working for the weekend

Whew! What a week it was at Poptropica. One day, we launched Poptropica Friends, and the next day, we opened up Twisted Thicket to everyone. Now, the weekend begins, and we plan to rest a bit — but we hope you’ll take the next few days to dive in and take advantage of all the great new stuff Poptropica has to offer!
So get out there — earn photos, make friends, and explore the tangled undergrowth of Twisted Thicket. And keep an eye out for all the other great stuff that’s coming soon to Poptropica, including Poptropolis Games!

Counterfeit Island is spiking in POP-ularity this weekend! Edvard Munch’s “The Scream” sold for a record-breaking 119.9 million dollars!

Thursday, May 3, 2012

$120 million? Let’s hope it wasn’t counterfeit!

Did you hear that the famous painting The Scream just sold for 119.9 million dollars? That’s a lotta dough! In fact, it’s the most that anybody has ever paid for a painting in history. Now you understand why it was so tempting to steal it.
You don’t need to spend a fortune to get your hands on The Scream. You can just go to Poptropica and play Counterfeit Island! Counterfeit Island is a crackling canvas caper full of secret identities, forged artwork, and high-octane scooter chases.
Of course, like almost everything else on Poptropica, playing Counterfeit Island is totally free. Let the wealthy buy their expensive paintings. You’re the one having all the fun!
avatar image BLACK WIDOW

Now, this is just me, but I don’t like the painting to much. Me, I might pay $100,000. I just don’t like it.
Like at the top of the broadcast, Twisted Thicket is out to all!

Wednesday, May 2, 2012

Twisted Thicket is now available to everyone!

Twisted Thicket is now available for everyone to play! Visit Poptropica now to start playing Twisted Thicket.

To rap this post up, tonight, a really good show called Finding Bigfoot is on. So, if you enjoy Cryptids Island, watch “The Cryptid Show: Starring Bigfoot!” It’s on Discovery and Animal Planet!

A Sickening Amount of Poptropica Friends

In all technicality, all of the Creators’ posts about Poptropica Friends isn’t sickening, but right now I have a nasty cold, and my nose is running like a river. (Make any jokes and you comment will be deleted IMMEDIATLY)

Anyway, they have given us details about the Costume Closet.

Friday, April 27, 2012

Trapped in the closet?

We can admit that we’re not perfect. One thing Poptropica is missing right now is an easy way to save the best costumes that you’ve put together. With Poptropica Friends, that will no longer be the case!

Another new feature with Poptropica Friends is the Costume Closet, which allows Members to store up to 30 unique costumes at a time. Not only that, but you can look through your friends’ closets and borrow their best costume ideas, as well.
There you have it! The days of putting together a spectacular costume and then having to get rid of it are almost over.
avatar image CAPTAIN CRAWFISH

And if my calculations are correct, we should have Poptropica Friends sometime in a one-week time period.

Even More Poptropica Friends!!!

All this week, the postings on the Poptropica Creators Blog have been about one thing: Poptropica Friends! Well, the other non-Poptropica Friends post was to say that Twisted Thicket will be availible to all on the 2nd. Big woop.

Your number 1 album

One of the new features that will be coming with Poptropica Friends is the photo album. It’s like your own virtual scrapbook of your adventures through Poptropica!
By playing through Islands, you’ll occasionally see a message that says “New Photo Added” when you get to an important part of the story. Then, when you visit your photo album, you’ll see snapshots showing you a new perspective of your character’s feats. Every Island has about four different photos. There are over 100 in total!
Even better: every time you earn a new photo, the outfit you were wearing at the time is recorded in the picture. Even if you change clothes, you can costumize from your photos later!
Wait, there’s more! If you’re looking through a friend’s photo album, you can costumize off of them, too. It’s like the number of possible costumes just went to infinity!
avatar image CAPTAIN CRAWFISH

Anyway, today I’m home sick with possible Strep, so I’ll go adios!

More Poptropica Friends

Wow! Less than 24 hours from my last post!

Anyway, like I noted, the Creators have notified us of more Poptropica Friends information!

Seismic activity

You already know that Poptropica Friends will let you stay informed about what your friends are doing in Poptropica. What you might not know is how easy that’s going to be!

Presenting the Recent Activity feed! You’ll see this little box whenever you return to Poptropica, and it will show you the most up-to-date things your friends have been doing in Poptropica. You’ll see when your friend has earned a photo, beaten an Island, saved a new costume, or answered a Pop Quiz. You can click through to see their full profile, or just flip through the feed to see what everyone is up to.
There’s a lot more coming with Poptropica Friends. We’re looking forward to sharing it with you!

None of you should be on Facebook, but your parents can! Ask them if Poptropica Friends is like Facebook.

Going for the gold

Playing through an Island on Poptropica gets you many rewards. Besides the satisfaction of a job well done, you’ll also earn a gold medallion that you can wear to show off your accomplishment. But how many of you have been able to pull thisoff?
Medallions for every Island! Whoa, nelly. That’s worth bragging about. Soon it’ll be easier to show off an achievement like this.
One of the great things about Poptropica Friends is that you’ll be able to see what medallions your friends have earned, and they’ll be able to see the same for you. You’ll even be able to show off how many times you’ve beaten each Island, by using Island Restart.
Poptropica Friends is launching soon. There’s no better time than the present to start adding to your medallion total, before all your friends can see!
avatar image CAPTAIN CRAWFISH
26 Island Medallions is a big achievment, but what about 19 in 3 months (me)? Yes, I’ve only been playing for close to 4 months, actually. And I’m trying to get all medalions with “Poptropica: The Official Guide”
